Steelhead fishing is “AWESOME”

At Wild Waters Fly Fishing we are passionate about our Steelhead fishing.  A day like this is what we live for, we crushed it, and having my dad in the front of the boat made the experience all that much better.  When I was young I would steal his fishing vest and fly rod and head to the river.  I wonder if he ever thought it would be to his fishing benefit that I did…  Deep down, I think so…  Thanks Dad.

Klamath River Steelhead and Salmon

It is already proving to be a great year for fishing on the Klamath River. We are seeing some good steelhead and salmon all the way up below the Iron Gate Dam. Its time to get on the calender. 3.29.12 No cure for Steelhead fever

Last few weeks I’ve been on the river.  Sick with Steelhead fever.  No matter how many I farmed, caught, or photographed I still couldn’t shake the virus.  Now recent rains have brought the end of the season.  This fish, a highlight, ate a swung fly just after dawn.
