Many days of scouting water and rolling dice on river conditions pays off with a beautiful fish.  Truly a fish of a thousand casts.  Andy and I had an epic… most of the fish we hooked we couldn’t handle… I don’t know if Ive ever seen fish so HOT and hard to catch up with.

Andy hooked a good number of these fish in one spot.  With each hookup we would chase the fish a couple hundred yards down stream only to lose most of them anyway.  Andy would jump out of the boat and walk us all the way back to the slot.  Id row us over put the anchor  down and before I could cast he’d be into another one.  AWESOME!!!

A memorial, a reminder that the river is all powerful and even the most experienced drift boaters can go down with the current.
