Upper Sac in February.

Rogue River Fishing Report

 

The Rogue River is seeing some good winter steelhead fishing. We have been putting in some days on the Shady Cove stretch. Some nice steelhead are being caught under the indicator as well as on the swung fly. Most of our trips are incorporating both techniques. With crystal clear water we are excited about this storm system to perhaps put just enough color to improve our chances on the swung fly. This is perhaps the best bet for your winter fishing trip. 12.18.12 One before the storm.

Ryan and John came up for a bit of steelheading before the storm hit. I really enjoy hunting those winter fish. The Klamath has a good number of adults around and worth hitting. Its now snowing hard outside and I’m tying flies for your next steelhead.

Still Not Winter???

With Winter officially just around the corner we end the “Spring Training” season of Winter Steelhead fishing.  Heaters are out and working, waders and rain jacket have no leaks, and a new net, thats big.  We love the Winter season cause its time to get our FISH ON.
