Goodbye McCloud

The last day on the McCloud. November 15th. A day to say thanks and goodbye to a river I love. I’ll see you on April 27th 2013!!!

3 Days 3 Rivers

Now thats a great trip. Day 1 McCloud… Day 2 Klamath… Day 3 Upper Sac…

Klamath River has been showing off.

These were some beautiful days on the Klamath River. With the beautiful fall colors and plentiful fish early November 2012 was great yet again on the Klamath River. Check out these great shots from my recent trips. Now bring on the storms and big winter fish!!!!

McCloud Days

There is something about being on the McCloud river in the fall that is enchanting. The light and color dominate the scene and in the sun’s golden rays you’ll find the best fishing.

10.22.12. McCloud Big Browns and foul weather.

Peter and his father David have been fishing the McCloud for years and are regular clients and good friends. The weather came in and warned us of winter. Take a look at the Bagley Fire burn.

Bollibokka 10.19.12

Its Fall alright! There was a great crew at Bollibokka and the fishing was  pretty damn good. Check out these colors.

Fly Girl Power on the Klamath River

Kimberly and Allison’s annual Salmon trip on the Klamath River. The wind howled today and we could barely keep our drift. But fortune favors the bold!.

The Klamath is packed.

Must have been 30 boats on the Iron Gate drift. Ridiculous! I love catching as much or more than the roe fisherman. No offense. David was a solo in the boat and we cleaned house.

First timer on the fly rod

I become greatly amused when I throw a first time fly fisherman at Salmon and Steelhead. The fights quickly show the parameters and its up to me to give them enough chances to get it right. Good job Matt.

Klamath Spey Trips

Come book a day on the Klamath river swinging flies. Bring your own spey rod or use one of our Meiser and Orvis rods.

Klamath River Steelhead and Salmon

It is already proving to be a great year for fishing on the Klamath River. We are seeing some good steelhead and salmon all the way up below the Iron Gate Dam. Its time to get on the calender. Here is Chris with a nice early Klamath Steelhead. Check out these fish!!       […]
