McCloud River 7/15/11

Joe and Rob followed me on a very physical McCloud River day. I marched these guys through bushes, over rocks and under fallen trees. We covered some awesome water.

Again we fished almost all dry flys. Today we caught a lot small fish. It wasn’t until the last hours of light that we were able to fool some bigger fish. Is summer finally here?

Thanks Chuck & John… It was a great trip along a pristine and almost primeval section of the McCloud river. It wasn’t an easy stretch but well worth the trouble. The big dry fly action was awesome. We’ll see you guys in October for the steelies…
