Today was HOT, it felt like the Lower Sac, and like the Lower Sac it fished great despite the heat. Bugs off all kinds are everywhere! Fish are looking up and feeding mid day.

Charlie and Ryan were first time fly fisherman and had a great day catching fish while learning how to cast, water load, mend, manage line, set the hook, fight fish, catch and release. Phew that’s a lot to learn in one day. Lets work on the Knots the next time you guys get up here. I hope the McCloud River and I made Fly Fisherman out of you both. Fly Fishing 101.
