Northern California & Southern Oregon (State of Jefferson) Fishing Report.

The team at Wild Waters Fly Fishing has been guiding everywhere lately. Fishing has been a mix between good and excellent, because of changing weather patterns and windy days. The hatches have been pretty thick as our windshields can attest. May has been all about the dry fly and its been a treat to fish some of the bigger ones. Golden Stones, Grey Drakes, Green Drakes, and the Salmonfly. I like big bugs and I can not lie.

Beyond the Lower Sacramento’s stellar year most of the highlights have been on the McCloud, Klamath and Rogue Rivers.

McCloud River Fishing

The McCloud River is fishing well with plenty of fish being caught on dry flies. We’ve seen some good hatches and it seems to be getting better everyday. Spring conditions.

We are a guide run guide service, and we have been slammed. Fishing has taken us all over the place and during these hot August days we found ourselves all wet. Check out this great video recap!!!

October on the McCloud

Back on the McCloud! What a treat. The fishing was good and we saw some nice big browns. The river has not yet shown any affects from the Bagley fire. Try and get a day on it this fall.

McCloud River 09.17&18.12

Well the fire hasn’t pushed all the fish out.  I havn’t seen the upper part of the lower McCloud yet but what I have seen is fishing well.  We caught fish on dries and this guy was sitting right were he was supposed to be.  We had a better than great time with this crew.  Great to see you guys.
