With the river conditions right where I like them this time of year, I had to put another day on the river.

Heavy rains brought the floods and the Upper Sac boomed up to almost 18,000 CF/S.  We needed some water in this river bad.  The Upper Sac clears fast and I was able to take advantage of some high water honey holes.

If I’m cold then I know my clients are freezing, but we toughed it out and had a fun day of fishing. David and Patsy are true Wild Waters regulars, clients turned friends.

7.31.10 Upper Sac fishing well for the big Kamloops.

I just had to check on a few of my favorite big fish spots on the Upper Sac.  I do love getting clients into big fish and often sacrifice my numbers for a chance or two at some special fishing opportunities we have here in the Mt Shasta region. We had a great morning of [...]
