Both the reservoir and the river continue to fish excellent. A storm blew in and made things difficult with wind and rain but the fish seemed to like it. Almost exclusively dry fly fishing!

Another awesome weekend on the McCloud river!  A great group,  nice weather, fun fishing and beautiful smiles.

Numbers, numbers, numbers but no big ones. The big ones fed all night during the bright full moon thus the smaller fish took over the feeding lanes today. That’s my guess at least. Still we caught a bunch of fish on dries.

Started the day on the Upper Sac catching some big migratory lake fish, had lunch at the great Dunsmuir Brewery, and finished off on the McCloud rainbows. What a damn fine way to spend a day.

We got off work early and had to make a few cast with the new Freestyle Walker Golden Stone. Maybe it was the fly, maybe it was the spot, maybe it was the angler. SEE A FEW MORE BIG BROWNS HERE!

Hot weather heats up the McCloud River. It depends on who you ask, but if you ask me I say she is fishing pretty good. Another Big Brown for the Hall of Fame. Are you wishing you were fishing too?
