Last few weeks I’ve been on the river. Sick with Steelhead fever. No matter how many I farmed, caught, or photographed I still couldn’t shake the virus. Now recent rains have brought the end of the season. This fish, a highlight, ate a swung fly just after dawn.
Tory and I fished a river that was way to high. In search of some silver lightning….
Many days of scouting water and rolling dice on river conditions pays off with a beautiful fish. Truly a fish of a thousand casts. Andy and I had an epic… most of the fish we hooked we couldn’t handle… I don’t know if Ive ever seen fish so HOT and hard to catch up with.
Tory and I treated ourselves to a day with the famous Mike Hibbard. I use to guide the Trinity and Mike showed me everything I know, it was so great to be in his boat on a working day. We fished our asses off, with no other boats around!!! What a treat!!! We saw some [...]
Ive been driving all over Norther California and Southern Oregon. Near the border of these two states run some of the most amazing rivers I’ve fished.
Spent some time warming my bones in Sayulita, Mexico. Anne and I were doing some recon for Wild Waters Fly Fishing hosted trips.
After two great days at the Klamathon Lodge, the owner and great guy John Jaques asked me to stay another and guide him and his best friend from Austin TX.
