Lower Sac Fishing Report 04.07.12

Lower Sac Fishing Report 04.07.12

Flows are still low and the bite is good.  Stoneflies, PMD’s, and caddis patterns are all catching fish.  A great time to be on the Lower Sac.  Today, David and Patsy introduced their friend Jane to the world of fly fishing.

Andy helped me run some errands down in Redding.  Including new wires for the drift boat trailer lights, new cup holders and new straps and tie downs all around.  Oh right, and a couple of hours of fishing at the Posse grounds.

With the river conditions right where I like them this time of year, I had to put another day on the river.

Steelhead fishing in Southern Oregon has been pretty fun this last week, with fowl weather and high flows bringing in some fish. It hasn’t been easy by any means but we have been finding them. Check out this great collection of photos from the week.

All we needed was a little rain in Southern Oregon to spark off some great steelhead fishing. With some proper planning and placement we were right where we needed to be for the push. Check out these photos of an epic day.
