The Nature Conservancy’s McCloud River Preserve 08/20/11

Our friend Carl joined us for a day on the McCloud River Preserve.   Carl is an excellent photographer and in exchange for showing him a thing or two on the river, he shot some pics for Wild Waters Fly Fishing.  Here is just a few but you can see more on our Facebook page.

Great photos Carl. You were a quick study that day. I’m certain you are now a fly fisherman let’s do this again soon! Thanks so much for sharing your photography skills. Wading the McCloud with a M9 has doubtfully ever been done before!

Photographs are best when the essence of place is captured, and these certainly accomplish that. Even from my remote keyboard, I can smell the McCloud and its gentle breezes.
